🥀 honey & rosewater ~ those are the tints of light baptizing my days/
i needed to sink into the bones of my life, to taste & see/ but the the raucous voices, the whirlwind & carousel of always, always new things to see, they are buoys that keep you afloat/ but my soul kept whispering “the great pearls lie beneath, the great pearls lie beneath”/
so i’ve shed them to melt into these days, to reacquaint myself with the magic of cultivation, with the alchemy of slow/
so, it’s been a week/ there have been thoughts ruminating within me ~ varied prisms twirling in the light~
one: this world goes on without me ~ this is peace/
two: there are too few hours, yet always enough/
three: trouble is old, but love older still/
four: roses are poetry regardless of audience…
